Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 2: The Meghalaya Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, today approved the extension of the lease period for government land from 30 years to 60 years, with further renewal of an additional 30 years for projects under different investment modes.
This move is expected to facilitate development projects and boost economic growth in the state. The decision aims to attract more investments and promote infrastructure development in Meghalaya.
In another significant decision, the Cabinet approved the appointment of Maqbool Lyngdoh Suiam, MAS(Retd.) as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Meghalaya Natural and Organic Farming Society for Livelihood and Innovation in Agriculture (MEGNOLIA).
Additionally, the Cabinet approved the appointment of Smti. Susanna D. Ritshong, MSS (Retd.) as the Registrar-Cum-Secretary of the Meghalaya State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Shillong.
