Shillong (Meghalaya), April 4: In a daring operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian tout on Thursday, April 3, near the International Border of Meghalaya.
Acting on specific intelligence, BSF personnel from the 04th Battalion swiftly launched an operation to thwart the infiltration attempt. The apprehended individuals, including the Indian tout from East Khasi Hills district, were handed over to Pynursula Police Station for further investigation.
In a separate incident, the 200th Battalion BSF intercepted a Tata Winger vehicle suspected of facilitating illegal crossing near the International Border in South Garo Hills. The individuals and vehicle were handed over to Baghmara Police Station for further investigation.
