Shillong ( Meghalaya), Oct 4 : The State election committee of BJP has decided to contest in only Rajabala assembly constituency in the upcoming by -election in the State on Oct 30 .
The party received only two applications from the aspiring candidates and accordingly decided to forward the name of Kingstone B Marak who is presently the District vice president of BJP in West Garo Hills .

The meeting was chaired by the State party president , Ernest Mawrie and was also attended by National vice- president and in -charge of Meghalaya , Dr . M . Chuba Ao and Minister Sanbor Shullai .
The BJP has two assembly seats and is a constituent of the ruling Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA).
