Shillong ( Meghalaya), Nov 28 : Rituraj Sinha, National Secretary of the BJP today launched the party’s Membership Drive at the State Party Office in the presence of party leaders including National Vice President and State Prabhari, M Chuba Ao, MLA, A L Hek, State President, Ernest Mawrie, and others.
Sinha highlighted the contribution of the BJP in the development of Meghalaya through various central government schemes, and how they have touched the lives of people in the state. Sinha said people across the state are eager and excited to join the BJP as they trust PM Narendra Modi to deliver development to Meghalaya, as he has done in Assam and other states. Anyone can now join the BJP by give a missed call to the number 836 000 6060. This will initiate the joining process for them. He invited all people of Meghalaya to join PM Modi in his fight against corruption and in his pro-development agenda for the state. Sinha gave the slogan “Modi for Development, BJP for Meghalaya” while launching the membership drive.
At the program, senior political leaders from Meghalaya joined the BJP. Among them were Sukharam K. Sangma, Ex-two-time-MDC from NPP, Elbert Marak, MDC candidate from UDP, Dipul R. Marak, Ex-CEM from NPP, Debajit Warjri, Ex-Rangbah Shnong & Retd. Additional Secy MECL/ MPCC, Pradip Blah, Asst. Director of Sport NEHU & Rangbah Dong – Golf link Durbar, V. G. K. Kynta, Sr. Advocate of the High Court, Richesly Jana Nongbet, Advocate.
While joining, the leaders expressed their trust in the leadership of Narendra Modi ji and said that they have experienced the pro-people policies of the BJP over the last 8 years. They said while neighbouring states under BJP government have raced ahead in terms of development, the people of Meghalaya have been denied these benefits because of the corruption, lack of policies, intent, and because of plain simple incompetence of various governments that have already mis-governed Meghalaya. They said, people trust BJP.
Rituraj Sinha welcomed each one of them to the party and pledged to build a stronger Meghalaya together.
