Shillong(Meghalaya), May 8: The situation in Meghalaya is turning from bad to worse with report of 11 more fatalities in the past 24 hours taking the death toll so far to 210 .
The state also reported 375 fresh cases on Saturday .
The active cases in the state has shot up to 2,678 .

A total of 152 patients were declared recovered today taking the total number of recovered cases to 16,414 .
Seeing such a massive surge , the government has decided to extend the ongoing lockdown till May 17 with minor relaxations in the restrictions .
