Imphal(Manipur), June 27 : With 16 deaths reported on Sunday, the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Manipur has reached 1,124.
In the past twenty-four hours, 669 persons were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases out of 5,185 tests, according to the Health Department. Imphal West remains the major contributor of daily spike with 226 new cases.
On Sunday, 509 persons were discharged, taking the recovery rate to 89.78 per cent. Out of 67,986 total infections, 61,038 individuals have recovered. There are now 5,824 active cases in the state.
As per the Health Department, in the last 24 hours, a total of 2243 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 319 B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and Government institutions have 460D,89B type filled cylinders at present.
As per the latest information, 5,31,004 persons have been vaccinated in the state. Manipur has a population of above 30 lakhs
