10 more fatalities and 597 fresh cases in the state

Shillong (Meghalaya), July 25 : 10 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours raising the death toll to 1024.

5 deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills while 3 deaths were recorded in West Garo Hills . 1 death each was registered in South Garo Hills and West Jaintia Hills .

According to official sources , 597 new cases were detected on Sunday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 242 cases .

With the recovery of 288 patients the active cases now stand at 5,007 .
