Though the cattle seized were small in size despite that they are smuggled to Bangladesh where they are fed with cow fattening drugs, Moreover small cattle are easier to cross by hum pipes even through fence. After continuous anti -smuggling drive and putting extra vigilance along the border to prevent and curb, the BSF has achieved considerable success in countering the cattle smuggling .
BSF has seized 249 nos of cattle, and contraband items worth more than Rs. 82 Lacs, while being smuggled out from India to Bangladesh on the International Border along Meghalaya during this week.
