Tripura : BJP all set to launch formal election campaign from Wednesday

Agartala (Tripura): The main  opposition in Tripura , BJP is all set to formally launch their  election campagin from  today.
The formal launch will be in all the segments of assembly.But it would be centerd in the Chief Miniter Manik Sarkar's home  constituency  in  Dhanpur,

Tripura : AICCI president Rahul Gandhi to address a convention of party workers

Agartala (Tripura) :  All India Congress Committee-I  (AICCI) ,President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit the poll-bound  Tripura in the mid of January.  During his visit he would   boost the party workers for the upcoming elections in the state. Rahul will also  address a convention of the party’s booth level workers, besides  addressing public meetings.

Tripura: IPFT to go alone in the forthcoming Assembly polls next year

Agartala (Tripura) : The regional party, IPFT has   decided to contest in the ensuing assembly election on its own leaving behind  alliance efforts with main opposition  BJP .According to IPFT  President N.C.DebBarma the party is  likely to contest in all the assembly segments and the party has  finalized the names  for 58 seats .

Rijiju made BJP's Nagaland poll in-charge, Himanta for Tripura

New Delhi : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Saturday appointed Union Minister Kiren Rijiju as the election in-charge for Nagaland and Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for Tripura, ahead of the assembly elections in the states to be held next year.
Both Nagaland and Tripura have been two of the few states where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not formed a government.
In the current Nagaland assembly, the Naga People's Front (NPF) holds the majority.

Agartala (Tripura ):   Ram Madhav , the general secretary BJP  today said that Tripura is all set to become the 20th state in  BJP's kitty. He said  BJP will provide a stable  government through   joint leadership. Ram Madav also made it clear that doors  are open in   BJP for those willing to see a bright future in  the state. He was speaking at the rally which  was organized in connection  with the  joining  of congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath to BJP.   

Tripura : Sitting Congress legislator all set to join BJP

Agartala (Tripura ) : Sitting Congress MLA and a senior party leader , Ratan Lal Nath  representing  the Mohonpur Assembly segment is all set to join the BJP on Friday  afternoon along with  around 3000 members from his  constituency .
According to sources he would join the BJP in presence of   BJP stalwart  Ram Madhav  and Assam  Ministers  Himanta Biswa Sarma and  Parimal Suklabaidya.
For past few months , Ratan  Lal Nath  was hobnobbing  with the BJP despite being a  Congress MLA

Tripura: Congress candidates names to be out soon

,Agartala(Tripura): Though election schedule in the three northeastern states is  yet  to be announced  but all the parties are  gearing up their  respective organizations aiming at the  elections.
 In Tripura both the major parties namely Left Front led by CPM and opposition BJP are  organizing rallies throughout the state.The opposition BJP concentrating    mainly in the tribal dominated areas.In the 60 member assembly there are 20 reserved seats  for the STs .

Tripura : Police recover 6 live bombs

Agartala (Tripura) :  Acting on sepecific  intelligence inputs Police here  conducted  a raid at the residence  of one Babul Das  and recovered  half a dozen  live bombs from his residence  here today.
Police have arrested  Babul  from his residence situated  in Charo Charkobai under Baikhora Police station. Das is a Tahasildar .
Bomb  disposal squad rushed to his house  and seized the six bombs .
