Manipur : Colourful 'Chavang Kut' festival celebrated across the state

Imphal (Manipur) : People of Manipur especially the Kuki  community celebrated  the Kut festival here on Wednesday. 
Various cultural programmes were organized across the  state. 
"Culture is beyond religion. Though we may  belong to any religion and worship any God, , we are all united in one thing, that we are all Indians" said Dr. Najma Heptulla,  Manipur  Governor while speaking as Chief Guest at  the festival .

Manipur: States integrity will never break says Biren Singh

Imphal(Manipur ): Chief Minister  N. Biren has said that State’s integrity will never break.
He was speaking at Rashtriya Sankalp Diwas (National Re-dedication Day) which was organised to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at Secretariat South Block here on Tuesday.
Chief Minister  N. Biren Singh and Deputy Chief Minister i Y. Joykumar graced the occasion as chief guest and president respectively.

Imphal (Manipur):   Governor of Manipur Dr. Najma Heptulla said  we should ask how much a child knows instead of how much a child do not know while imparting knowledge to the children.  Governor Heptulla attending the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur organised by the Council at MSFDC Auditorium, here on Monday   said that the council has introduced many initiatives and the most important thing is the digitization.  

Stop all forms of corruption says Manipur CM Biren Singh

He further said that it is the collective responsibility of all the people to root out any form of corruption so as bring inclusive development in the State. Giving a message to the people  in connection with the observation of the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ being organised from 30th October – 4th November 2017 he said people should be involved in the fight against corruption.

All party delegation to meet PM for protection of Manipur's territorial integrity

A meeting of all political parties chaired by  N Biren Singh, Chief Minister, Manipur was held in the Cabinet Hall of Chief Minister's Secretariat on Saturday  to discuss the issue of territorial Integrity of Manipur with reference to Peace Talks between Government of India and NSCN(IM).

In yet another  incident, three young girls from Manipur were rescued by a joint team of Manipur Police, Manipur Social Welfare department, Women Helpline and Karnataka Police from Karnataka.
