Arunachal Pradesh: Tata Sumo turns turtle, 3 tourists killed on the spot

Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh):  Three tourists from Kolkata  died on the spot while five others were seriously  injured  when the Tata Sumo in which they were travelling turned turtle on Saturday afternoon . The seriously injured are undergoing treatment at Tawang Civil Hospital   .  They were rescued by the army and immediately  admitted at an  army hospital in Khirmu in Tawang district. They were later shifted  to the district hospital.

Arunachal Chopper Crash : Mortal remains of the brave hearts flown to their respective states

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh): The Indian Air Force authorites  have been sent the mortal remains  of  the seven  brave hearts  who died in the tragic chopper crash along Indo -China border in Arunachal Pradesh   to their respective states for their last rites ,  an official source said .
The IAF  Chopper Mi -17 V 5 aircraft  which  crashed with  5 Air Force  and 2 army personnel on board had  taken off from the Khirmu helipad near Tawang before crashing at around 6.30 am on Friday .

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh ): An Air Force Mi -17  V 5 chopper crashed  today morning at around 6 am  while on an air maintenance  mission  along  near India –China border in  Arunachal Pradesh resulting in death of  seven personnel reports  our Bureau Chief Pranab Kumar Das .

China Opens Expressway near Arunachal Pradesh

Beijing (China) :China on Monday opened a 409-kilometre-long expressway linking Tibet's provincial capital Lhasa with Nyingchi, which is close to the border with India in Arunachal Pradesh, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. The toll-free expressway has linked the two major cities which are also tourist attractions in Tibet, it said.

The expressway that costs $5.8 billion to build cuts travel time between Lhasa and Nyingchi from eight to five hours, with a speed limit of 80 km per hour.

NHIDCL Director,Sanjay Jagu calls on Arunachal Chief Minister

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh):Director ,National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), Sanjay Jaju met Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on  Friday along with his team of  officials.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein discussed on issues pertaining to construction of highways being taken up by the corporation in  Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal not to accept Chakma & Hajong refugees as citizens in the state

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh):   Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has reiterated the concerns of the people of Arunachal Pradesh on the vexed issue of granting citizenship to Chakma and Hajong refugees in the state.
In a letter to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday, Khandu said the matter is of deep emotional concern and that the state is not ready to accept any infringement of the Constitutional protection bestowed on the tribals of the state.

Arunachal CM Khandu meets Rajnath & Sitharaman , seeks separate IAS, IPS, IFS cadre for border state

Tezpur (Assam): Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here today to discuss various issues pertaining to the home department of Arunachal Pradesh. Singh assured all possible help and support to the state government.
Pema also took up the matter of separate IAS/IPS/IFS cadre for the state with Union Home Minister. Presently the state is under the combined AGMUT cadre which is a joint cadre for serving Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and all the Union Territories.

Assam : Missing youths body recovered in Balipara

Tezpur,(Assam): The Flood waters  have finally started  receding  since last night from Chariduar revenue circle in Balipara but more than 17 villages  are still affected as the people were unable to take  shelter in their houses  in central Assam’s  Sonitpur district  , officials sources said .
The body of  18 year old  , Diganta Das  from Ulubari in Balipara who went missing yesterday was recovered this morning.

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh):  Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today accorded warm welcome to Art of Living (AOL) founder, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at Raj Bhawan helipad, accompanied by state BJP president Tapir Gao, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Chief Secretary Shakuntala Gamlin along with other officials. 
After the reception, the Chief Minister accompanied Sri Sri to state banquet hall to attend a lecture on 'political ethics and challenges in the context of changing times'.
