Cash Crunch: Arunachal ATMs go dry as RBI delays cash remittance

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) April 18: The cash drought in the automated teller machines (ATM) in and around the capital complex and in several other districts has left the public in a state of perpetual anguish for the last couple of weeks.
The cash crisis began about four months back; since then, it has become a regular phenomenon.
 
The authorities of the State Bank of India’s (SBI) Itanagar branch blame the Guwahati branch of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for delaying remittance of cash to the Itanagar branch.
 

Indian Army Capable of Meeting Any Challenge at Border, Says Arunachal Pradesh Governor

New Delhi, April 17: Arunachal Pradesh Governor BD Mishra on Monday said Chinese troops often come near to the Indian territory but our Army has the capability to meet any challenge, a news agency ANI reported. Talking to a news agency, Mishra said that our Army will never let Chinese troops enter the Indian border.
 

Air Force Lands Its Largest Transport Aircraft In Arunachal Pradesh's Tuting

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) Mar 15:  The Indian Air Force's largest transport aircraft, the C-17 Globemaster, on Tuesday landed at Arunachal Pradesh's Tuting airfield which is close to the Chinese border.
 
The landing of the US-manufactured aircraft is seen as part of the air force's move to strengthen its overall operations in the strategically-key border state.
 

Arunachal Pradesh : Mob drags out two rape accused from police station and kills them

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), Feb 20  :In a shocking incident, an irate mob today dragged out two rape accused from a police station in Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh and beat them to death.
 
The two accused, now dead, have been identified as Sanjay Sabar, 30 and Jagadish Lohar, 25, migrant laborers from neighboring Assam.
 

Arunachal Pradesh : Fire breaks out in Dirang, 45 houses gutted

Dirrang (Arunachal Pradesh), Jan 28 : More than 45 houses and shop have been gutted in an inferno  at Dirang in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh   , Indo-Tibetan Border police( ITBP)  and Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB)  personnel’s rescued several people from the area ,sources said .
 
The devastating fire spread on  both sides of the road  which is very narrow ,damaging several shops  houses  within  a span of an hour , officials said .

Nampong (Arunachal Pradesh) Jan 21 :Arunachal pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu   declared open the 7th edition of Pangsau Pass International Festival (PPIF) amidst huge gathering of visitors, tourists, Cultural troupes from various parts of the state and neighboring Myanmar. The event going on at Changlang district of the state .
 
 
 
The declaration followed with the release of balloons in the air to mark the beginning of 3-day festival and beating of traditional gong. 
 
 
 

Arunachal Pradesh : Pakke –Paga festival at Seijosa

The three-time APRC champion and his co-driver Musa Sherif were in a class of their own, scorching the two night stages on Friday and winning two out of the four stages on Saturday to the delight of awe-struck fans here in picturesque Ziro.
