Nagaland : Interfaith visit for global peace

Dimapur (Nagaland): People’s Forum for Peace (PFP), Dimapur unit organised an interfaith visit of all religious communities’ leaders for world peace on Sunday.  Leaders visited Mosque, Durga Mandir, Jain Temple, Gurudwara & Holy Cross Church here.
 
 
 
Taku Longkumer, President, PFP addressing the team at Gurudwara on the Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Sahib, informed that such interfaith meeting is needed to bring all the communities of the city under one roof for the betterment of a cosmopolitan town like Dimapur.
 
 
 
Om Prakash Sethi, President, Marwari & Shri Digamber Jain Samaj appreciating the initiative, wished that such noble deeds would bring various communities closer for better harmony in the commercial hub of the state.
 
 
 
Imam Sahib of Jame Masjid, Hazi Park, Pandit Bhupindar Sharma, Ajay Sethi, Darshan Sahib, Father Chacko enlightened the visiting groups about respective religions & prayer houses.
 
 
 
Lauding the efforts of PFP, Gopal Sharma, President, Hindu Sewa Samiti wished that such efforts will continue in future too while expressing gratitude to all the hosts of the religious communities, informed Ajay Sethi, Convener, Interfaith Meet and General Secretary of People’s Forum for Peace.
 
 
 
Dr. C. P. Anto, Director, Peace channel informed that the interfaith visit will continue to visit a Baptist Church & Buddhist Temple on next Sunday (January 14) for which the interested leaders from various communities were requested to assemble at Holy Cross Higher Secondary School on the day
