Crashed IAF Chopper pilot cremated In Tezpur

Tezpur,(Assam): The mortal remains of  Indian Air Force, Commanding Officer  , Wing Commander,  M.S. Dhillon , was cremated this evening  at Tezpur with the full military honours. Wing commander Dhillon was  killed in a helicopter crash while on a rescue mission   at Yupia in  Papum Para district  of  Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.
The pilot ,Flight Lieutenant P.K. Singh   who was which also killed  in the crash   hailed  from Ratnagiri in Maharashtra  and   would be cremated on Sunday  at Tezpur  Parua cremation ground .
The family members of Wing Commander Dhillon  were  present during the   last rites of  the brave officer. Wing Commander  Dhillon  hailed  from Patiala in Punjab and is survived  by his wife and two minor children .His father  who was also present  during the cremation   is  a retired Squadron leader of the Indian Air Force  . 
Commanding officer of  Tezpur IAF station KVR Raju  handed over his  uniform  and the  documents , draped in  the  national tri color  to his wife Prabpreet kaur .   
The Advance Light helicopter ALH of Tezpur base IAF   crashed on Tuesday after taking off from Saglee in Papum Pare district of  Arunachal Pradesh about 86 km from capital city  Itanagar   .The chopper went missing after returning from a rescue operation at around 3.30 pm .The ALH from Tezpur  air base lost radar contact at around 3.50 pm and the wreckage was  spotted  on Wednesday  in a deep gorge  . 
Talking to,  AOC KVR Raju said that it  was very unfortunate that in the past two months Air force station, Tezpur  has   lost  five brave pilots and officers . He added that   Wing Commander Dhillon was the commanding Officer of the unit at Air Force Station Tezpur and was a highly experienced helicopter pilot.
The  body of  Flight engineer, Sergeant Gujjar who  hailed  from Agra will be  flown to  his native place as per the  wishes of his  family  .     
Director General of Police ,Arunachal Pradesh ,Sandeep Goel ,informed  from Itanagar  that the rescue  operation has Pilot Of Crashed IAF Chopper  Cremated In Tezpur  been completed  on Saturday   and all the  three   bodies of IAF personnel  have been flown to Tezpur IAF station  while  the mortal remains of   Indian Reserve  Battalion  jawan, Neda Umding  who  hailed  from Ziro in Lower Subansiri district  is  on his  way  home and  the cremation will take place  on Sunday.
