Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 8: In a swift and decisive operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya apprehended a Bangladeshi national and two Indian associates on Monday, Oct 7, near the international border of East Khasi Hills district.
Acting on specific intelligence, 110 Bn BSF Meghalaya troops intercepted a vehicle on the Ryngku-Mawsynram road, seizing ₹2.32 lakhs in Indian currency.
They apprehended Mohammad Milan Ahamed, a Bangladeshi national from Sunamganj district and 2 Indian associates. A total of ₹2.32 lakhs in Indian currency was also recovered.
“This operation demonstrates our commitment to securing India’s borders and preventing illegal activities,” said a BSF official.
The apprehended individuals and seized items have been handed over to Mawsynram Police Station for further investigation.
