Kokrajhar(Assam),Mar 14: Just after 14 months after signing of the BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region) accord signed on Jan 27 last year , a new militant outfit has been formed in the Bodoland Territorial Region . The outfit has been named as National Liberation Front of Bodoland (NLFB) and is headed by former NDFB leader M. Batha.
The new outfits name became public after a press statement issued to media houses on Sunday.

The statement of NLFB signed by B Bungtigwra, said that the new NLFB militant outfit was formed on October 12 last year at a undisclosed location to protect the Bodo community and preserve the language and the culture .
The NLFB slammed the BJP led alliance government in the center and at the state for failing to work towards upiftment and development of the Bodo community.

The NLFB is headed by M Batha, former hardcore leader of the NDFB,who has reportedly returned to the jungle for arms struggle with around 30 new cadres.

Notably, all the four factions of National Democratic Front of Boroland(NDFB) had come to the mainstream through the historic third Bodo peace talks which led to the creation of Bodoland Territorial Region.

Meanwhile, intensifying strict counter insurgency operation, police have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from Diglipara area under Bishmuri police outpost in Kokrajhar district on Saturday evening.

      .
Dr Bishnoi confirmed that former NDFB leader M Batha along with 30 members has returned to the jungle along with sophisticated arms and they are preparing to create chaos in the region.

He said zero tolerance would be maintained an no one will spared.

“Police are taking strict steps against the militant organisation who are stepping towards the arm’s struggle in the BTC region”, Dr Bishmuri said.
