Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Oct 28:President of United People’s Party Liberal(UPPL) Pramod Boro is hopeful that his party would win the forthcoming BTR elections with absolute majority .
Pramod Boro, who is also the former ABSU president while interacting with media persons today in Kokrajhar said that his party is sure to win with absolute majority in the ensuing BTR elections to form the next BTR legislative assembly.
He said that UPPL is fully prepared to contest the ensuing BTR elections and is waiting only for the declaration of date for the BTR election.
Boro said BPF will face massive defeat in the ensuing BTR elections as common masses are in favour of UPPL.
He levelled allegations that that BPF has failed to work for the welfare and development of the common people in their 17 years of rule in the BTR administration.
He informed that former BTC MCLA and senior BPF leader Laben Basumatary along with 100 new members joined the UPPL at a party meeting held at Sidli in Chirang district today.
The BTR elections has been deferred for indefinite period due to COVID-19 pandemic across the state.
