Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 8 : 17 new Covid cases were detected in the state today till 10 am on Saturday taking the total number of cases in the state to 1024 .
The total active cases as of now stand at 609 . 12 patients were also discharged today after full recovery and number of recovered patients have gone upto 423 .
Among the 17 new cases 12 were from East Khasi Hills , 2 from North Garo Hills and 3 from West Garo Hills (BSF) .
