Assam: Indo-Bhutan Women’s friendly Soccer match draws huge crowd

Kokrajhar (Assam),Oct 12: A Indo-Bhutan women’s friendly football match created much interest amongst the people here and drew a huge crowd of football lovers and general public today .

The friendly tourney was organised at Banargaon rural mini stadium here between Sports Authority of India(SAI), and Bhutan Womens Football Club,Gelephu.

In the match,SAI Kokrajhar defeated Bhutan Women Football Club 😯 .

SAI Kokrajhar dominated the match during both first and second half .

The friendly women’s football match was organized to create a bondage between India and Bhutan .

Yomnam Kamala Devi of SAI was adjudged as the best player in the match.

Noted social activist, Jyotika Brahma kicked off the football match in the presence of a huge crowd .
The women’s football match was organized coinciding with the ongoing 1st Kamaleswar Basumatary and Charu Bala Basumatary football running trophy -2019.

“We are very happy with the warm welcome accorded to the Bhutanese footballers.We performed our best in the friendly match but did not stand a chance near the mighty SAI team “,a Bhutanese woman footballer said .
