Manipur : Police intensify efforts to rescue construction workers

Imphal (Manipur), Dec 02 : Police on Sunday intensified efforts to rescue three construction workers kidnapped by suspected tribal militants on November 29 reported news agency IANS.

According to the report , the workers identified as Veer Singh from Haryana and Ranjit and D.K. Yadav from Uttar Pradesh were kidnapped when they were working along the National Highway 2 in Kanglatongbi, Kangpokpi district.

The report said that the commandos were carrying out search operations in the mountain villages of Kangpokpi, a stronghold of some tribal outfits in the state.
