Manipur : Ruling BJP ties up with NEIPD for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections

Imphal (Manipur), Aug 27 : The ruling BJP in the state today forged an alliance with the North East India Development Party (NEIPD) to jointly fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled in 2019.

The alliance was officially announced here today by the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh .

President in- Charge of the NEIDP Elangbam Brojendra, General Secretary Wahengbam Khelchandra and Sapam Kunjakeshwore were present   when the  Chief Minister announced the alliance.

Speaking to media persons Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that BJP is always ready to go along with like minded committed political parties for overall development of the state.

“ BJP  is always ready to forge an alliance with like minded political parties who  are committed for the overall development of the of the people and the state with timely action “,said the CM.

He added that the BJP is a committed political party which keeps its promises. “BJP had assured that the territorial integrity of the state would be protected and will ensure its compliance ” .

Interestingly , NEIPD does not have any representation in the state  Assembly.

As of now, the BJP is yet to name any candidate for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
