Kolkata (West Bengal) , Aug 1:The Philosophy of Innovation & Research (TPoIR) was organized at Kolkata on Sunday last by IIT-KGP, IIM Calcutta, Govt of West Bengal, Govt of India, Patent Information Center Kolkata Recognized Techno-Spiritual Research Organization Think Again Lab [ www.thinkagainlab.com ] in association with Disruptive Research Engineering and Design Foundation [www.dread.co.in] & Legal Salah[www.legalsalah.com].
This immersive workshop took the participants through the basic building blocks of creating Innovative projects and protecting them with proper Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and how to monetize their idea.
This workshop was inaugurated with an in-depth analysis about high end research and innovation by Dr. Moumita Mukherjee , Research & Development Mentor, DREaD. M.Sc. ( Applied Physics ), M.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering, Ph.D.( Tech ) in Radiophysics and Electronics from Calcutta University. Post Doc from DRDO , Govt of India and Germany. Visiting Scientist INEX Newcastle University. Former Sr. Scientist, DRDO Centre of Excellence, Govt of India. Presently Associate Dean – School of Science, Adamas University, Kolkata & Adjunct Professor, JAP BMI ( Calcutta University and The WB University of Health Sciences, India ) & Mr. Saikat Adhikary , Science and Technology Advisor, DREaD, M.Sc. Physics ( Electronics ), PGD in Applied GIS and Remote Sensing, pursuing Ph.D.( Physics ) in Biomedical Engineering from Adamas University. He is working on A.I. / medical research, aiming to extend human life by merging biology with advanced technology. His areas of contributions are Applied Electronics, Microelectronics Fabrication, Biomedical Instrumentation, Nanotechnology, and Computational Neuroscience & Brain Computer Interface.
This workshop has been designed and hosted by IIT-KGP & IIM Calcutta recognized Techno-Spiritual entrepreneur, . Arijit Hajra, who has taught this in collaboration with Camellia Institute of Technology (Kolkata) as well as Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology (Kolkata) and other esteemed institutions.
Hajra started his first startup at 22 while still a student and provisionally filed his first patent in Robotics and Electronics domain at the age of 23. He has experience in several state-of-the-art Technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Internet of Things, UI/UX, Web & App Development. He is currently doing research on Brain-Computer Interfacing, Invisible Technology and Block Chain. He has mentored 5000+ students all over India.
He has won more than 3 business plan competitions in India and has been honored by the International Institutional Organization as Budding Innovator in Bihar Leadership Festival, invited to speak at Faculty Development Program at IIT KGP organized by Kolkata Ventures and invited to be a speaker at PMYUVA E-week at Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science and Technology. He has been bestowed with awards from the renowned organization like IIT KGP, IIM Calcutta, International Institutional Organization, Kolkata Ventures, Govt of West Bengal, Govt of India.
Arijit’s latest company is Think Again Lab, promoting techno-spiritual research and innovation in India through Workshop, Hackathon, Hands-on-training, Internship, Mentorship and Awareness Camps of youths, parents and teachers to create a Research – Innovation – Entrepreneurial ecosystem in India. Think Again Lab is Certified by Udyog Aadhaar, Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprises, Government of India and Recognized by Startup India, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Hajra started his speech with “Am not an engineer, I am A doctor. I cure a disease called Being a Servant Syndrome Induced by Negativity with 3c Antidote – Creativity, confidence & consciousness”.
Later he described the reason , why Indian Education System is producing servants since last 180 years and what is the solution of it. He educated the youths about secret of self learning , how and why one should go beyond his/her belief system, intellectual property rights, why & how to monetize your idea and become an entrepreneur , how life is related with coding and human are related with robots.
Lastly the students were enlightened about the legal needs for monetizing their idea by Sujit Jha, CoFounder & COO, Legal Salah.
This was followed by Think Pitch Competition where every participants was given 1 minute to express their idea which can change the world. Three Awards was given – “Best Innovation Award” – Rajdeepta Saha , “Best Business Plan Award”- Nadeem Ahamed & “Best presentation Award ”-Projjal Dhar , “Joint Rockstar Intern Award”- Md. Sajid Imran & Vishal Kumar Ranjan. They were also rewarded with gift certificate from Think Again Lab , Ninth Sense technologies and Legal Salah.
All participants were given access to Mentors, Intellectual Property Rights Resources, Legal Resources, Patentable/Innovative Projects, Hackathons, Paid/Non-Paid Internships, Hands-on trainings and an array of resources provided by Think Again Lab , Disruptive Research Engineering and Design Foundation and Legal Salah to help the youths go Beyond Their Believe System in the quickest possible time and Innovate Solution for Crucial Problems of the Society and Commercialize their idea to form a startup.
The workshop ended with an internship drive for the participants by Think Again Lab.
More than 1.30 lakhs worth Rupees and a total of 8 awards were given during the event . For the participants it was a dream come true for them and majority of them admitted that it was really a life changing workshop for them . On the long run the workshop helped them to understand , dream and pursue their passion which would help to convert them into job creators rather than job seekers.
