Assam Govt imposes night curfew along Nagaland border

Kohima(Nagaland ), July 22 : The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung Sachin Jaiswal has informed that the Additional District Magistrate of Sivasagar in Assam has promulgated prohibitory order under section 144 Cr P C Night Curfew from Dusk to Dawn for 60 days the order come into force with immediate effect.

Jaiswal said that the prohibitory order was imposed due to the unstable law and order situation in the 5 KM belt of Assam side bordering Nagaland.

However the Magistrate on duty, the Security personnel of Army, CRPF, Police and Civil Officials deployed on duty have been exempted from the purview of this prohibitory order.

Scheduled of curfew area are under Halwating, Galekey and Bihubor Police Stations along Assam- Nagaland border.

All the public living in this border area and travelers who will be travelling these areas have been advised to take note of the order.
