Agartala(Tripura): Charges and counter charges by two major rival parties dominate pre election campaign in Tripura. The war of words between the rivals is also creating high poll fever though election schedule is yet to be announced .
.It is likely that the EC may announce poll schedule shortly after final publication of voter list .The final voters list will be published on 5 th January as announced by Chief Election Commissioner during his recent Agartala visit .
The BJP which has already emerged as the main opposition accused the ruling CPM saying that the party in power hungry and spreading communal fear among the various communities living in state. The ruling CPM is playing communal card for protecting its “fort” like Tripura.
Lambasting CPM Biplab Dev, President of BJP Tripura unit accused the CPM of creating communal hatred. He questioned CPM why they were fighting on development slogans?
On the other hand CPM alleged that BJP has been trying to foment communal tension between tribal and non tribals living in state since long , They alleged that BJP workers are involved in damaging deities in different places of the state.
In a sharp reaction BJP state president said that their party workers are in no way involved in such damaging acts . He questioned why BJP workers would be involved in such damaging acts? No Hindu can damage such deities, only non believers can damage the deities.
However above all political temperature is constantly increasing that is centered in ensuing assembly election. Observers believes that this assembly election would be very crucial as the Left Front led by CPM is facing a tough challenges from the BJP.
